Benwell House phase two

Spelthorne Borough Council has a target from the government to build 618 homes per year for the next 15 years. The Council’s housing register has also risen from 1,942 households to approximately 3,400 in the last 2 years, representing a serious house crisis that the council must address. It is important for the Council to deliver more high-quality housing to let at affordable rents to local people.

As part of the council’s commitment to deliver new homes in Spelthorne to meet local housing needs, we are consulting on revised proposals for the development of land which was previously refused planning permission under Ref: 19/01211/FUL for 39 residential units, with a mix of 12 x 1-bed, 24 x 2-bed and 3 x 3-bed units at Benwell House, Green Street, Sunbury TW16 6QS. The proposals now contain a smaller building, with 35 1 and 2 bed units and replacement mature trees.
