We specifically oppose the proposed Gypsy and Traveller pitch located on land to the west of Town Lane, Stanwell and as aforementioned, the landowner has written separately to the Council to express their objection on this matter. It is acknowledged that the Spelthorne Borough Council Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) (April 2018) calculated a requirement for 20 permanent pitches for Gypsies and Travellers and 15 permanent plots for Travelling Showpeople, within the Borough bet

Why is there no provision for Travellers in Staines, Shepperton, Laleham & Charlton Village? As part of the county of Surrey's offering of new homes for all, what could be done to build residential and Traveller homes and pitches elsewhere in the county where there is far more space? What is the rationale with adding to already-overcrowded areas?
