Infrastructure and Transport
RBWM raise concerns towards potential impacts for the A308 corridor between the M25 and Windsor; the B376 corridor through Hythe End, Wraysbury and Datchet; and J13 of the M25. These areas are subject to significant peak hour congestion and/ or have existing air quality management areas. Therefore, they are particularly sensitive to additional traffic movements.

Also, Spelthorne Council should be encouraged to consider the wider catchment for trips to and from developments within their area and improvements to transport infrastructure and services should not be constrained by local authority boundaries.

With regards to Heathrow Airport, improving sustainable transport links from the west and south are seen as essential regardless of the airport expansion in order to mitigate the effects of the airport on local transport networks and achieve a fair distribution of economic benefits. Also, it is essential that the impacts are mitigated for construction, passenger, staff and freight
